Initially, it started as a drawing, but over time, I found myself drawn to exploring the play of light, which symbolized the passage of time. This led me to the idea of using bagasse, transforming my drawing into a multi-layered design. The concept centers around the word 'tomorrow,' a term rich with meaning. Literally, it points to the future, the day after today. Yet, its implications are much deeper, embodying both hope and despair. It has an essence that is both fleeting and enduring, suggesting a new beginning or just another day in the continuum of life.
As our lives unfold, the most we can do is to live in a manner that isn't solely dependent on the uncertainties of tomorrow. This philosophy is depicted through the image of a ballet dancer. She dances amidst uncertainty, unaware of what the path ahead holds – the types of flora on one side, the length of the path on the other, whether an exit from the forest is possible, or what lies beyond if one emerges. This uncertainty mirrors the unpredictable nature of our future.
Simultaneously, the forest's backdrop transforms into a night cityscape, alive with buildings and homes bathed in moonlight and stars. This contrast represents the beauty and turmoil of the past we've experienced and left behind. Amidst this interplay of a fading past and an unknown future, the ballet dancer continues her dance, steadfast in doing what she loves, symbolizing our journey through life's unpredictability.
